Knowledge Base (AI)
The structured collection of documents, FAQs, product specs, and policies that an AI agent can reference when answering questions. Quality of the knowledge base directly bounds AI accuracy - garbage in, garbage out. Best practice: knowledge base is owned by a single person, updated weekly, and the AI is re-grounded against it monthly. Vector-search retrieval (RAG) lets AI cite specific source documents instead of hallucinating.
