Decision Maker

In B2B sales, the person with final authority to approve a purchase. Different from a champion (internal advocate) or influencer (input but not approval). AI qualification agents identify decision makers in the first conversation via explicit questions ("Who else would be involved?") and implicit signals (title, LinkedIn relationships). Deals that bypass decision-maker confirmation churn 3-5x in late-stage pipeline.
